
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your first session, termed the intake session, will take about an hour. In this session we meet to sign paperwork and gather information about your concerns and goals. During this session I also gather information about your life such as health concerns, family dynamics and other factors in getting to know you better! I will talk with you about your expectations and frequency you would like to engage in treatment. If you are a parent completing an intake for a child, you may decide not to bring them to this session so you can talk freely about your concerns.​
After your first session we will continue to meet for sessions that are scheduled for 45 minutes. What happens in these sessions is determined by your goals and needs. I offer weekly, bi-weekly and monthly appointments depending on your needs.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask that you provide 24 hours notice. If you miss a session without canceling, or cancel with less than 24 hour notice, my policy is to collect a no show fee of $50.00. It is important to note that insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for cancelled or missed sessions; thus, you will be responsible for the portion of the fee as described above. In addition, you are responsible for coming to your session on time; if you are late for your appointment the session will still need to end on time.
If you do not have health insurance it is also possible to pay out of pocket for services. The standard fee for the initial intake is $125.00 and each subsequent session is $100.00 (fee can be discussed on an individual basis).
